Wanderdog Positive Dog Training
Kay Warnes BSc VSA-CDT MSc (DI)
Kay graduated with distinction from the Victoria Stilwell Dog Trainer Academy at the end of 2017. This was a very intensive course, that included learning directly from Victoria Stilwell herself, and other fantastic dog trainers from both the US and UK. The course allowed Kay the opportunity to work closely with an amazing mentor, who has over a decade worth of experience and a crazily impressive knowledge of all things dog, training and behaviour - Eryn (Believe in Magic).
In 2020 Kay graduated with distinction from the University of Lincoln with a MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour. Through this course, she learnt from leaders in the field of animal behaviour, such as Dr Daniel Mills the first professor of veterinary behaviour medicine. On graduation, Kay was also given the award for the 'most outstanding thesis' in her cohort.
At the end of 2020, Kay achieved her pre-certification with governing body ASAB (Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour) towards gaining CCAB (Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist) accreditation. Kay's goal is that this will be completed within the next year or so. To achieve this Kay has joined FABC (The Fellowship of Animal Behaviour Clinicians).
More recently Kay has completed a level 1 course to become a Canine Arthritis Management Advocate. Something that is close to her heart, due to her own dog's struggle with hip dysplasia and arthritis.
Kay strives to continue to advance her knowledge in canine psychology, health and behaviour, and is currently studying a level 3 diploma in Canine Health & Nutrition.
