What insurance do you have?
Wanderdog is insured with Protectivity Pet Business insurance.
This covers us for the following insurances: public liability up to £1,000,000/ care, custody and control of animals/ non-negligent cover/ loss of keys/ equipment cover.
We are very happy to show our certificate upon request.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel any agreed service, or the full amount will be collected, unless waived by Wanderdog in their sole discretion. We also ask for one working week (5 days) notice of cancellation of an ongoing service of three days or more.To be fair to other clients, we appreciate being made aware of cancellations as soon as you know you won’t need our services.
Do you offer a referral program?
For each referral you give Wanderdog that results in a regular walking client, we will give you £5 off your next group walk. For any training referrals, this will give you £10 of your next training session with Wanderdog.
How do you charge for your services?
For all of our services, we will email you an invoice with a full breakdown of your charges. We accept both cash and bank transfers. On receiving payment we will forward you a receipt for your own records.
What do you do in the case of an emergency?
In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. In the original consultation, we ensure that we have your emergency contact details in case we can't get hold of you immediately. If veterinary assistance is needed, we will take your dog to your named vet or, depending on the circumstances, to the nearest possible one.
Do you offer your services on bank holidays?
We do, but all services are charged at time and a half for the whole bank holiday period.
What happens in bad weather?
We still do all of our walks, unless it is dangerous to do so (i.e. extreme heat, thunder storms or severe snow fall). We ask if it is wet weather that you leave a towel near the front door for easy access, so we can dry your dog off when we drop them home.
Do you take female dogs in season?
No, as a rule we do not accept any female dogs if they are in season.
Do you walk dogs off-lead?
We will only let your dog off lead if we have consent from yourselves (given during your consultation), and if it is safe to do so. Generally we will! If your dog is a little bit rusty on their recall then we can keep them on a long lead, and let them run and play in safety!
What happens if my dog doesn't get on with a dog in the group?
We carefully select which dogs will walk together, if we find an imbalance within the group we will switch accordingly and inform you of our decision. We want all of our dogs to enjoy their walk.
